GANN "SQUARE OF NINE"
"SIMPLE METHOD for locating S/R "LINES " in PRICE ONLY from a major high or low.
THE "SIMPLE METHOD" for locating "S-support" OR "R-resistance"
LINES as based on Mr. Gann's SO-CALLED "SQUARE OF NINE" calculator is laid
out STEP BY STEP on the IBM, DIA, and DOW charts below.
IF YOU CAN't get this "down pat" then forget everything else for the SQ-9, because it only gets more and more complex from here; as well as, more and more "dubious" and "unreliable."

TEXT ONLY! NOTE THAT while we, at PTR, only use the 360 degree or ONE FULL REVOLUTION "targets," as point to by adding or subtracting ONLY FACTORS of a positive or negative TWO (2)--as in 2, 4, 6, 8, etc--SOME Square of Nine traders DIVIDE that 360 degrees to get a HELL OF A LOT OF OTHER "targets." While I don't want to get into that mess here, since this is the SIMPLE (and one revolution) method that we use, those "other targets" can be located by adding "fractions" of the number two (2) to the lows, or subtracting fractions of the number two (2) from the highs. For example, "a half revolution target" UP ABOVE a correction low @, lets say, 100 would be found by finding the "root" of 100, or 10, and adding one (1) to that "root' rather than two (2), and then squaring that number...which for this example of 100 would be: SQR(100)= 10 + 1 =11 and 11^2= 121 for the 1/2 revolution target ABOVE a low @ 100. GET IT? IMO, the FULL REVOLUTION targets are "nebulous" enough, and we place little to no value in the others; eventhough, we fully realize that they are bound to hit at times...even if based on nothing but pure chance.! <CLICK HERE TO GO BACK TO "INFAMOUS SQ-of-9 PAGE>
